Khichdi also called Khichadi and Khichuri is a dish that can warm almost everybodys heart, during such monsoon weather. Sometimes when I have a hard day, this is something that can get me comfy and warm, and I can say so for many Indian people too. This is served with Chaas and Indian mango pickle. It originated in India for a quick meal.
During the war this was served to soldiers and its said that dipping they finger in ghee and eating this gave them the energy to fight the war.
Khichdi, is a dish in South Asian cooking made of rice and lentils, however different varieties incorporate bajra and mung dal kichri. In Indian culture, it is viewed as one of the primary strong nourishment that infants eat. Hindus, who abstain from eating grains during fasting, eat Sabudana Khichadi produced using sago.

taste.
8. Garnish with cilantro and serve the moong dal khichdi with some extra ghee on top.
